
Chaplain Rob Sugg is a Presbyterian minister, retired U.S. Air Force chaplain (Major), and retired paramedic dedicated to providing biblically grounded pastoral care, ethical analysis, and research-based commentary on civics, community leadership, and current events.
With decades of service in military chaplaincy, Chaplain Sugg has pastored 12 congregations across diverse settings, including military communities in South Korea, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. He developed and delivered training for chaplains deploying to high-risk environments and served as staff chaplain and course director at the USAF Expeditionary Center. His military experience includes specialized training as an Army Family Life chaplain, eight units of Clinical Pastoral Education, and recognition as a Fellow of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. He holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Counseling Psychology, along with additional credentials in pastoral supervision and psychotherapy.
Chaplain Sugg’s professional focus centers on chaplaincy, PTSD, moral injury, pastoral counseling, and the intersection of faith with constitutional principles and military ethics. He has authored articles published in *Air & Space Power Journal*, *Armed Forces Journal*, and *The Military Chaplain*, addressing topics such as religious freedom in the military, commander responsibilities, and balancing establishment and free exercise clauses.
Since retiring from the Air Force, Chaplain Sugg has continued his calling through Crestview Pastoral Care & Counseling, LLC, offering pro bono pastoral support, marriage counseling, and community ministry. In 2019, he and his wife Karen launched **Truth for the Soul (TFTS)**, an independent platform for news, research, and commentary viewed through the lens of Scripture. There, he emphasizes exegesis, factual discernment, spiritual warfare awareness, and ethical integrity in public discourse, while exploring themes of national security, civic responsibility, and moral leadership.
A licensed amateur radio operator (KM4SPJ), Chaplain Sugg resides in Crestview, Florida, with his wife and ministry partner, Karen. He remains committed to equipping believers, veterans, military families, and community leaders with thoughtful, Scripture-informed tools for navigating complex cultural and geopolitical challenges while upholding truth, peace, and higher standards of accountability for pastors and leaders.
